Perspectives of Percussion Pedagogues are a series of books that provides the reader with a collection of the interviews I have conducted for my blog: The Percussion Student. These books are purposefully provided as a digital download so one can easily research each subject, as well as cross reference what they have in common. Moreover, at the beginning of each chapter the date the interview was published is indicated; and for those who have a website, YouTube page, or other media sites pertinent to their work, such information is provided under the heading: Additional Resources.

…The collection is an amazing oral history of these teachers and professionals in our world that covers topics form their background, their careers, and problems that have been encountered along the way. Each interview is a glimpse into these professionals who many of us have heard of an admire and allows us to see their paths and their struggles at the same time…Zarro’s collections will grow along with the profession. Stories and biographies will be added over time, making it a living and breathing oral history of our profession. It’s enlightening to read about pedagogues we have all admired and looked up to…
